The bullet ant's sting is one of the worst insect-caused pains in the world.
Some people say it feels like getting shot with a bullet. Some tribes in Brazil use this as a rite of passage from boyhood into manhood! They make a special kind of gloves with lots of bullet ants in them. They have to wear them for 10 minutes, enduring the pain. When they take them off, their hands a black from the venom, and the pain only gets worse. In order to complete the passage, it's said that they have to endure this trial 10 times!
