Elephants have the longest pregnancy in the animal kingdom at 22 months. The longest human pregnancy on record is 17 months, 11 days.
One of the residents to deliver a healthy baby boy last year was Dr. August. Her pregnancy is also of note because it was the longest recorded human gestation on record. Dr. August was pregnant for a staggering 17 months 11 days. This will be noted in the next edition of the Guinness Book of World Records
