A tribute to great Sir HUTCHINSON :)

1. Hutchinson’s disease-A skin disease characterized by minute vascular ectasies appearing as compressible red or purple punctate lesion, arranged in a serpiginous pattern.
2. Hutchinson-Tay choroiditis/ Hutchinson's disease A senile degeneration
of the choroid with gradual and progressive visual loss.
3.Hutchinson’s melanotic whitlow syndrome/ Hutchinson's nail sign/ Hutchinson’s syndrome III A melanotic tumour of the nail bed associated with melanotic tissue forming under and around the nail. According to one author it has three modes of presentation:
a.Pigmented band in the nail followed by granulation at the edge of nail bed.
b.Chronic paronychia (single finger) with pigmentation in contigious cutaneous area.
c.Warty growth on nail bed with loss of nail.

4. Hutchinson’s summer prurigo An eruption of nodular and papular, pruritic, urticarialike lesions on parts of the body exposed to the sun.
5. Hutchinson-Boeck pupil/ Hutchinson's pupil The pupil of the eye on the side of lesion is reflectively fixed and widely dilated due to a lesion in the central nervous system (3rd nerve lesion), while the other pupil contracts.
6. Hutchinson's incisor/ Hutchinson’s sign/ Hutchinson-Boeck teeth/ Hutchinson's teeth A tooth abnormality seen in congenital syphilis, characterized by pegged, lateral incisors and notched central incisors along the cutting edge.
Hutchinson-Boeck disease/ Hutchinson-Boeck granulomatosis/ Sarcoidosis A generalized benign systemic granulomatous disease most frequently involving the lymph nodes, liver, skin, lungs, spleen, salivary glands, and eyes.
Hutchinson’s syndromeI A syndrome mainly characterised by a triad of miosis, ptosis, and enophthalmos.
Hutchinson-Weber-Peutz syndrome Gastrointestinal polyposis associated with benign adenomatous tumours and mucocutaneous pigmentation consisting of discrete brown to bluish-black macules about the lips, oral mucosa, and other facial orifices.( Peutz- jegher syndrome)
Hutchinson-Horton-Syndrome A headache syndrome characterized by inflammation of the temporal and other cranial arteries.
Hutchinson-Gilford progeria/ Hutchinson-Gilford syndrome A very rare disease of premature aging in young children, characterized mainly by a birdlike, "wizened old man" facial appearance, premature bodily ageing (progeria) and dwarfism.
Hutchinson's angina A skin disease characterized by minute vascular ectasies appearing as compressible red or purple punctate lesion, arranged in a serpiginous pattern.

Hutchinson's facies A peculiar, rigid facial expression with unmoving eyes.

Hutchinson's patch Salmon-coloured area in the cornea seen in syphilitic keratitis.

Hutchinson's triad The combination of Hutchinson’s teeth, interstitial keratosis, and deafness due to lesions of the eight cranial nerve.
Hutchinson's freckle A precancerous condition occurring chiefly during middle and old age. (also known as Lentigo maligna/ "Lentiginous melanoma on sun-damaged skin") is a melanoma in situ
Siegrist-Hutchinson syndrome Post-traumatic chorioretinopathy characterized by thepresence of granular pigmented spots in the fundus of certain exophthalmic, hypertensive patients who show albuminuria.
Hutchinson's sign Sign that refers to "the tip of the nose" lesion that occurs in some cases of herpes zoster involving the nasociliary nerve.
Hutchinson's fracture An oblique fracture of the radial styloid process with extension into the wrist joint (intra-articular extension). Also known by several other pseudonyms such as Chauffeur fracture; the ‘back-fire’ fractures and the crank fracture....
